About Julie Reynolds

Does life feel particularly difficult right now? Perhaps you are facing life changes or relationship difficulties and feel low in confidence; maybe you have always felt just not good enough? I will listen with care and without judgement to help you gain clarity and understanding so that you can live in a more authentic and empowered way.

I have learned, without question, how being truly listened to can bring forth our personal power and potential. To be heard without judgement, with genuine empathy and full presence, can give us a clearer and more compassionate understanding of ourselves.

I truly believe that when people have a place where they can feel that they’re not failing, or wrong, they will gain clarity and dignity and connect with what is right for them, beginning to make life choices which feel authentic and intentional.

Time and again, I have seen how clients are able to move from a place of self-doubt and confusion to being their authentic selves. In this place of fuller connection, they feel empowered to make choices and decisions which are mature and healthy for them.

I have more than 10 years’ experience of working with people in a therapeutic setting. During this time I have gained particular experience of working with people who struggle with their relationship with food and/or their bodies. Initially I came to this work with an interest in eating disorders via HAES (Health at Every Size), however I learned that what can be missed is the trauma suffered. Therefore, I am interested in your personal story, which may or may not meet and overlap with societal and cultural messages. People can feel a great deal of shame around these issues, so my approach is always sensitive, caring, and grounded in social justice. This is so important, especially for those living in larger bodies in a world which can misunderstand, judge, and make it difficult to access healthcare and other basic needs.

I undertake continual professional supervision and training, have done in-depth encounter group events, and am a member of two collectives relating to social justice and the treatment of eating disorders.
