About Jamie Fearn

I work holistically to support emotional, mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing.  I offer counselling, Hakomi, coaching and TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises).  Ultimately, it is the relationship that is healing and therapeutic, so when you are finding a therapist, it is most important to find someone you feel a connection with.  I am happy to meet for an initial discussion in order for us both to decide if we want to work together.

Counselling is a talking therapy and there are different types.  I offer Person-Centred which means the focus is on supporting you to find and listen to your own voice.  There is some useful information to explain it further on the Counselling Directory pages, in case you want to know more.

Hakomi is a mindfulness based, embodied practice that works with your whole experience – body, mind, emotions and spirit.  This practice is based on the idea that “consciousness is choice” and that habitual behaviours are generated by beliefs, attitudes, and past experiences that are mostly outside of consciousness.  Where our ideas and habits no longer serve us, it becomes possible to make changes by bringing into awareness the ideas that inform how we live and how we relate to others, particularly where they are causing unnecessary suffering. More information on this method can be found here: Hakomi Education Network

TRE (Tension and Trauma Releasing Exercises) is a practice that is made of a series of movements that support our bodies to release tension, stress and trauma. You can find out more on the TRE website.

I am particularly interested in the body-mind connection and spirituality and supporting people to reconnect with themselves.

You can find out more about my training and experience on my Counselling Directory profile or my website linked at the bottom of this page.  For further information or to book an appointment, please feel free to contact me on the number or email below.  I will always respond to emails and aim to do this within a week, please check your spam or junk email folder as replies may be there.
