About Louise Tully

I am a fully qualified counsellor/psychotherapist with almost 20 years counselling experience.  My background includes counselling in GP surgeries, probation and prisons, with adults and young people.  I currently work with clients who are 18 or over.  I hold an up to date DBS certificate.

Over the years I have worked with clients who have presented a wide variety of personal issues including stress, anxiety and/or panic attacks, social anxiety, anger, depression/low mood, bereavement and loss, relationships, drugs/alcohol, addictions, gender and sexuality, coming out, self-harm, domestic abuse, suicidal feelings, childhood issues, abuse, exams, loneliness, mental health problems, workplace stress and study/university problems, redundancy and low confidence or self-esteem.

I have worked with many clients who have been exploring issues around gender or who identify as trans* or non-binary, and/or clients who are exploring their sexuality or who identify as LGBTQIA*.

I am experienced in working with anger, and how it can affect families and relationships.  It may be that you feel that you are at a crossroads in your life, or are feeling under pressure and need some support to help you see things more clearly and identify ways forward. I offer a safe and supportive, environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without feeling judged.

The basis of my work is Person-Centred.  This type of approach can be beneficial in exploring and understanding your feelings and relationships with others. I am able to work long term to help you work through and resolve feelings that may stem from the past and I am also trained to use Solution Focused and CBT therapies with a more short-term approach.  In addition to face to face work I also offer online counselling via video, email or instant messenger using secure platforms.

It is important that you find a counsellor that you feel comfortable working with. Bearing this in mind, feel to contact me by telephone or email without obligation if you have any questions about the therapy.
